At the time the buildings were used as warehouses for spices such as nutmeg and coffee and tea. 

As an alternative we can go to Museum Taman Prasasti (Memorial Stone Park) The museum was formerly a cemetery, built by the Dutch colonial government in 1795 as a final resting place for noble Dutchman.
